Steven Tyler had a baby girl back in the 1970's, but didn't know it until his famous daughter Liv Tyler noticed how much she looked like her mother's 'friend.' That's when he found out his daughter Liv Tyler was born on July 1, 1977, in New York City. Her mother, Bebe Buell, was a rock groupie at the time, and her father, Steven Tyler, was the lead singer for rock band Aerosmith.

Buell and Tyler had a short relationship due to his excessive rock star partying, groupie-loving ways.
Tyler grew up thinking singer Todd Rundgren was her real father because Buell asked him to be Liv's Daddy.When Tyler met her real dad, in 1988, she knew he was her father. She saw the resemblance and she thought his daughter Mia looked like her twin.

Even though Tyler had been given Todd Rundgren's last name and he was playing father to her at 12, Tyler took her real dad's name.At 12, she went from being an only child to having two fathers and a new sister, Mia Tyler.

At 14 Tyler and Buell left Portland, Maine, to get Tyler on the fast track of modeling. By 15, she decided to not go the modeling route as her mother did, and decided on a career in acting.After just one reading, Tyler was cast as Callie in her first movie, "Heavy."Acting obviously was the right choice, because just three weeks after getting the part of Callie, she was asked to star in the movie "Silent Fall" in 1994.

In 1996, Tyler starred as the beautiful innocent girl in "Stealing Beauty." In 1998, she starred in "Armaggedon" as Bruce Willis's daughter. In 2008, Tyler starred in "The Incredible Hulk" as Betty Ross, assistant to the Hulk.

Tyler's mother named her after actress Liv Ullman. Bebe was a model and a Playboy Playmate of the month.Tyler's half sister, Mia Tyler, is a plus-size model for Lane Bryant.

She is best friends with actress Kate Hudson.

Tyler starred with actress Alicia Silverstone in Aerosmith's video "Crazy."

The movie "Armageddon" opened on her 21st birthday.

 Tyler dated Joaquin Phoenix from1996 to 1998.

Tyler married British rocker Royston Langdon in 2003. This was after he called Tyler's rock star dad, Steven, and asked for her hand in marriage. In 2004, the pair had a baby, Milo Williams.
